Someone I love told me that I should make my time count and take steps towards my dream.
So here I am. Recalling that I once said I wanted to author a children’s book — words, illustrations, print design, the whole package. I’ve always enjoyed good narratives.
Honestly, I am not one to push myself but I am glad someone pointed it out. A bit of peer pressure I would say!
There have always been thoughts about starting something of a blog to cultivate more consistent writing but I haven’t been able to sustain the momentum (so far). I find myself going back and forth between passion and indifference (Is this normal??).
I am sure that on this journey there will be hesitations about my writing abilities. But I guess that would be a journey for me to discover if this dream is really worth pursuing after all. Nothing good ever comes easy, someone once said.
Through this space, I hope to note down some reflections, insights and favourites as I continue to plough into the world of children’s books. Into the rabbit-hole we go!
